150TH Engr. Combat BN. AssociationOnce again we are going back to Shoreway Acres Resort Inn, located on Shore Road, Falmouth Ma. The date is May 13 to 15th., but many will be showing up Monday the 11th. and approximately 30 rooms have already been booked. At our annual meeting, besides voting to return to Shoreway Acres, an election was held to elect the officers of our organization. The results were as follows: Bob Pearl, President, and Arthur Boucher, Vice Pres. Phil Dobruck, Secr., and Joe Keegan, Treasure.The turnout last year was less than at the 50th. but still very successful. We had a First Timer in Bob Crimmins, who had a great time and is hoping to attend this year. Another who hadn't attended in many years is Don Galli, and we expect to see him back again. Also we were glad to see Edmond Manfredi, who had not been to the gathering in several years. Following is a list of attendees at the 51st. Reunion: Maine - Alyre Ayotte, George Kimball, George Restuccia. Also in attendance were Stan Wojtusik, National President of the Veterans of the Battle of the Bulge. Tom Jones VP, and John McAullife, Pres. of Western Ma. VBOB, along with Charlie Calri, VBOB member from Falmouth. Once again we are in debt to those who were unable to attend,
but sent generous contributions for dues and Hospitality Room
expenses; We can't thank these people enough, as their contributions go a long way in defraying the expenses. If I have missed anyone, please let me know and I will make sure to include your name in my next letter. Plaques were awarded to the following men of the 150th. Eng. for
years of dedicated services. Sadly, we have a few more departed comrades since the last reunion. These names will be read along with all of our other deceased comrades of the 150th. Eng. at our Ceremony, Thursday evening. The ceremonies are lead by our Honor Guards from Dedham, Ma. with Bill Morrissey as Sergeant of Arms. Last year, Taps were blown by Al Madden, who has played Taps at Military Funerals World Wide. On a lighter note, the 150th. Eng. Although I do not have a computer, some of my children, and grandchildren have computers, and have gone into the Website and printed up information off the Website for my use. Most of you I'm sure, have children or friends with access to the Internet, or maybe your public library will allow you to view our Website pages. Enclosed is the reunion reservation form which shows just a slight increase. Please mail your response in early, the rooms are on a first come, first served basis. From the rooms that have already been reserved, and many are arriving on Monday, it is shaping up to being another great reunion.
